Ignoring the glass slipper, looking beyond the glass ceiling
The automotive industry, one of the largest manufacturing activities in the world, is also one of the most male-dominated. Female employment figures in that sector are staggeringly low:
women make up slightly more than 5 percent of the national car sales force, for example, yet they buy 60 percent of all cars and trucks, according to the organization U.S. Demographics.
Enter Nancy McKee Fein, corporate manager for Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., and 1976 RIT College of Science graduate.
Rottnest Island: Diving and Snorkelling
The diversity of fish and coral species, and the numerous shipwrecks found around the Island, make Rottnest Island a favourite site for SCUBA divers and snorkellers in Western Australia. Many species of tropical fish make their home in and around the numerous reefs surrounding Rottnest, making it one of the most fascinating dive and snorkelling sites to be found in such close proximity to a capital city. Today's Atlantis: A world unto its own
The 67-acre resort, on a three-mile ribbon of powdery coastline on Paradise
Island, is a world unto itself. It has a casino, spa, top-notch stores, restaurants,
tennis courts and putting green, lagoons and spectacular marine exhibits.
It's a place to have it all, which is why it draws celebs like Christina Aguilera,
Michael Jordan, Gloria Estefan and Oprah Winfrey. Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey --

JUNEAU -- The divers love it and the marine life seems to be enjoying it too. Since the October sinking of the 48-foot motor sailer Rikki Tikki off Auke Village Recreation Area, Alaska's first artificial reef has taken on a life of its own.
"The Rikki Tikki has been providing some nice habitat for lots of new critters," said Channel Dive Shop co-owner John Lachelt, who helped spearhead the project. "It's providing a really neat habitat for marine life but it's also providing divers with something to see."

One last chance? A couple of companies trying to do business in a high-cost environment notwithstanding, economic development has eluded Culebra. Although the municipality's residents have stopped believing politicians' promises, its current mayor has a plan to turn it all around.

"It's definitely an enhancement to that area out there because it's bringing in life that wasn't out there before," said Dave Mitchell, a local dive instructor and co-owner of The Scuba Tank. "There's definitely more life. I've been diving here for 16 years and have dived Auke Rec. hundreds of times and there's more life by the Rikki Tikki than I've ever seen out there."
Almost immediately after the sinking, large quantities of King crab took up residence in the once derelict boat donated by Trucano Construction, said Lachelt.
