A little more than an hour's flight from Tahiti's capital, the Tuamoto Atolls feel even more remote because of their laid-back, dreamy ambience.
People rarely hurry on this archipelago of 78 atolls stretching 744 miles, the largest group of coral atolls on Earth. No need to rush. The same endless white beaches will be there, next to the same transparent sea, for more sun-steeped, lazy days tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that.
Commission looks at building standards
The Visalia Planning Commission inched closer Monday night to changing the building standards for hom-es built in the city.
Although a formal vote was not taken, commissioners told city staff that they are mostly in favor of reducing the front- and side-yard setbacks by 10 feet citywide rather than restricting the change to new construction.
Commissioner Vincent Salinas was the lone opponent to the citywide recommendation. Commissioner Jim Armstrong was absent.
Salinas said he is concerned that individual chan-ges by homeowners in a neighborhood could potentially create friction in the neighborhood.

This is her day. Susie Rolczynski Wichterman was born on Leap Year's Day 1964 in Grand Forks. She actually is 40 years old, but she has had only 10 real birthdays.
So this year, she is really celebrating. The party started Saturday evening at her home in Richfield, Minn., and some of the guests may still be around. After all, the invitations to 100 friends read "7 p.m. to ????". Susie and her husband Steve rented a hot tub for the party. They sent the children Andrew, 4, and Sarah, 2 to spend the night with grandparents Shannon and Michael Wichterman.
Having a Leap Year Day birthday has been tons of fun throughout the years for Susie.

I took it out
pretty slow, conservative for me, and just tried to work my way up but I
didn't' exactly work my way up a lot between 1.5 and 2 miles I guess I
got sucked into a pace and just zoned out. Then I came back really
strong the last mile, but just came up a little short. His 15:09 was

I guess this year's been a little bit different because I've been so far ahead in the workouts that the other guys kind of turned me into a front-runner. Oh yeah, Scuba Steve has had a lot of motivation to make spring 2003 something special. [1]
He's got a lot of confidence, had a good CC season and did so well at Foot Locker (South region race). Ironically Coach Stewart HAD to have Scuba Steve ready in early April to improve on that 4:03 best-to-date just to make it out of that insane district. [1]
