VacationFest travel expo arrives at SM Civic Sunday, March 7th

The independently-owned TravelStore is hosting the fifth annual VacationFest consumer travel show and sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 7th, at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, located at 1855 Main St. in Santa Monica. The six-hour event is free and open to the public.

Australian travellers might be adventurous, but they're also among the world's worst when it comes to taking health precautions on trips into developing countries.
A global airport study co-authored by the Royal Melbourne Hospital's Infectious Diseases Service shows Australians are less likely than any other Western travellers to seek health advice before travelling to high-risk countries.
Only 29 per cent of Australians surveyed at 16 major airports worldwide sought advice about infectious diseases before travelling, only 62 per cent were protected against hepatitis A and only 57 per cent against hepatitis B.

The moment I walked into the Philadelphia Convention Center for the Disney (NYSE: DIS) annual meeting, I could feel the swells of emotion. This was no ordinary annual meeting.
