While the strength of the team was in California, Alexis Brown, Leigh Valletti and Clara Constantinescu matched up against some of the best crit riders in the country at the NRC Tour le Fleur in Jackson, MS. The trio of Genesis Scuba riders finished 4th, 6th and 13th in a field that included a number of outstanding riders including race winner and current national champion Tina Mayolo-Pic. ^[1]

Genesis rider Maggie Shirley rode to a third place finish in last Sunday's Raccoon Mountain RR. The race is normally considered to be a "local" event which has always attracted top riders from around the south. With it's close proximity to the NRC race in Jackson on Saturday, riders from nationally ranked teams such as Diet Rite, TDS, Ford Outfitters, Basis, Genesis Scuba and others were all in attendance for what turned out to be a very exciting and active Pro 1/2/3 womens event. Maggie rode a fantastic race finishing third in a five women breakjust behind Tina Mayolo-Pic (Diet Rite)and Helen Kelly (TDS). Leigh Valletti outsprinted the rest of the field for 6th place with Clara Constantinescu getting 10th on the day. ^[1]

With the demise of the Diet Rite Professional Women's team, NRC and US Crit champion Tina Mayolo-Pic has decided to ride with the Genesis Scuba women's team in the upcoming UCI GP Feminin du Canada September 24-28. We are delighted to have Tina ride as part of the scuba squad! ^[1]

On the men's side, masters riders Tony Scott and Jon Atkins came away from the US Masters Road and Track Championships with 5 medals and a national championship in the team pursuit. This past weekend, the pair of Genesis Scuba riders combined to each claim victory in the Georgia State Criterium Championships with Scott taking the 30-34 title and Atkins winning in the35-39 age group. Genesis Scuba rider Gaston Vega made it a sweep by winning the masters 40+ race. ^[1]

Sincerely, Michael Skop Director Sportif After placing 27th in the Amstel Gold World Cup last Sunday, Genesis Scuba team member Sue Palmer-Komar moments ago finished SECOND to Nicole Cooke of Great Britain in today's Le Fleche Wallonne World Cupevent in Belgium! ^[1]

McCartney beat out Saturn's Eric Wohlberg, while the women's race was a two-rider battle between Gaggioli and Sue Palmer-Komar (Genesis Scuba). ^[2]

Gaggioli would sprint to the line just ahead of the Genesis Scuba rider, with third place Candice Blickem (Genesis Scuba) leading in the main field almost three minutes behind. ^[2]

A condition has recently been identified that may exist in recently manufactured Sherwood Scuba and Genesis Scuba Buoyancy Compensators (BCD)that requires immediate attention. ^[10]

Sherwood made the following statement about the recall: "It has recently been identified that molding variations in one component of the overpressure valve (OPV) used in Sherwood Scuba and Genesis Scuba Buoyancy Compensators (BCD) could, in rare instances, prevent the OPVs from sealing properly. ^[11]
